Abstract

The integration of technology in education has significantly impacted the development of instructional media, particularly in Arabic language learning. This study aims to develop an instructional video based on the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) to enhance students' engagement and comprehension in Arabic language learning at Salatiyah Vocational High School, Betin. This research follows a research and development (R&D) methodology, focusing on analyzing learning needs, designing educational videos, evaluating their effectiveness, and conducting expert validation. The findings indicate that the use of instructional videos enhances students’ motivation, facilitates better retention of information, and provides an engaging learning experience. Expert validation results show that the developed video obtained an 85% validity score, categorized as "Very Good," confirming its suitability as an Arabic learning medium. Additionally, pre-test and post-test comparisons demonstrate a significant improvement in students’ Arabic language proficiency, reinforcing the effectiveness of instructional videos as a learning tool. However, challenges remain in optimizing the use of multimedia-based learning, including teacher readiness, technical constraints, and accessibility issues. This study recommends further exploration of adaptive learning technologies and interactive media to improve Arabic language education in diverse learning environments.
